Advanced Structures SIP packages are manufactured by Insulspan SIPs, the #1 leading SIP manufacturer. Your SIP package is backed by the most established and quality building product manufacturer, the Carlisle Corporation.
A simple one-step install SIP wall is R-27.7 and SIP roof R-54.7 ! It takes many steps, hassle, and considerable expense to achieve the same R-Values with traditional framing. To reach these R-Values continuous insulation has to be added to the exterior - a waterproofing challenge - or add expensive spray foam insulation on interior. PLUS add the additional labor for each step required. Given the above, SIPs are a less expensive option.
SIPs are a framing product that works in conjunction with traditional framing. SIPs are typically the exterior walls and standard lumber sizes sew the SIPs together. On the interior traditional wood or metal framing is standard. Exterior and interior finishes are typical and standard applied directly to the SIPs. NOT hung away from the structural support by 3 to 4" of exterior foam insulation.
SIPs are pre-fabricated requiring panel shop drawings and pre-construction coordination. At Advanced Structures we consult with members of the project team to establish the SIP shop drawings used to manufacture and pre-fabricate the SIP package. The complete SIP package is then delivered directly to the building site.
